Cereal Milk evolution: How Cookies has milked its marketing potential
Cookies has a lot of strains that we consider to be icons even in today’s hyper marketed cannabis world, but possibly the unsung hero of the whole brand is Cereal Milk. It was one of the first strains that was released under the iteration of the brand as we know how it operates today, but it’s also selected with some fairly old school philosophy. Since then, they’ve brought the best toget and ran it back again and again for Cereal A La Mode and Cinnamon Milk.

Blue Mountain Gas - Skunkfoot Farms
Lately I’ve been loving the Skunkfoot flavors I’ve tried, but I’ve noticed a distinct lack of gas in the stash, which is what I think Skunkfoot excels at. Luckily Terpy Dabber swooped in with the saving grace sour in the form of this Blue Mountain Gas jar, and I think it’s one of my favorite things from Skunkfoot yet.

T-Bone - The TenCo.
We’ve been hearing for years that TenCo. had an incredible cut of Headbanger and that they grow it immaculate. This is not one of their living soil batches – it’s grown in coco – but some say that the diesel strains do better in inert media and hydro.

Sour Rainbowz - Tuna Melts 710
Maywood made some big waves a couple of years ago with Pomelo Anderson from their house brand Fioré, and they remain putting out products that actually give Cookies a good reputation. Sour Rainbowz is one of the six available from their most recent drop, and after trying it I could definitely see this brand becoming more popular in the Cali METRC scene.

Z-1000 - Tornado Terpz
DC Source absolutely hooked it up hitting me with a 7g jar of the Z-1000, and within seconds of opening the jar it’s easy to see why this was a phenomenon through the back half of last year

Strawberry Punch #2 - Fresh Squeeze x Symbiotic Genetics
This jar also excited me quite a bit when I saw it when it debuted at the end of last year part because of the bisexual lighting motif on the label but also because Symbiotic has created some legendary strains including Mimosa. This seems to be a hybrid with their Purple Punch F2 x Strawguava, and the hybrid makes for a formidable smoke.

Berry Blossom - Hash Kitty
I chose Berry Blossom because it smelled pretty clearly of Z notes, and in my opinion Z rosin has the highest quality ceiling. The rosin arrived pretty saucy, which I would knock for just about any other strain, but is par for the course in the Z part of the gene pool. If you had Super Dope Brand’s rosin in 2022 and 2023, this flavor reminds me of Mega Z Blue or Mega Z Red.

The Original Z - Doja
Another massive improvement over previous attempts from the Doja crew, this Original Z is a great rendition of Zkittlez that I would recommend even among Doja’s crazy lineup

Gelonade - Doja
Overall, this was a massive improvement since the last time I tried this strain and it’s a ganuine banger, therefore it’s an easy recommendation from me.

Gelonade - Sour Wavez
An intersection of two things that have been on my bucket list for a while, getting Sour Wavez hash in the stash and trying Gelonade as rosin, this product is a huge treat before even opening the jar, so major shout out to LeFlame for making that happen for me.

D-Lish - Doja
I tried Fun Dip about nine months ago from Fear of Boof in Michigan and was genuinely impressed with how well they did it, but now trying D-Lish the experience is really flipped on its head D-Lish is a hybrid of Z x Sweet Retreat where now the Sweet Retreat pollinated the Z. The flavors and effects are recombobulated in this configuration of the hybrid.

Peach Tree - Doja
Regardless of media and under what light rays these were grown, Peach Tree smokes great. It’s super fresh and smooth on inhale and the flavor is super distinctive. This strain is also incredibly potent getting me properly stoned after my second chamber fill and giving me tunnel vision after the third.

Alaskan Crab Legs - The TenCo.
Alaskan Crab Legs is basically in the middle part of its R&D, where they're getting batches out there but it hasn't really been built into a product yet. When the strain arrived, it came in the white square corner bag that has a white UV label on the back rather than a die cut mylar like the Nishi I reviewed recently.

Zazul x ZAnimal - Dank Syndicate
Out of all the producers in the Bay Area, Dank Syndicate is the one I’ve most frequently been eager to try. I previously got to try their RS11 and I thought it smoked proper, so when GSL Bill hit me with a mystery bag of Dank, I was nothing short of hyped.

Tropical Depression- Watson Supply Co
The new new from Watson, this is something I didn’t expect to get in the stash and I’ve seriously grateful I did. The hybrid behind this exquisitely designed bag is Zkittles x Triangle Kush, and it gives a lot of lemon zest but mostly citrus has all in a super dense package.

Blue Lobster - Maine Trees
For the uninitiated, Blue Lobster is Maine Trees’ flagship selection, and it’s essentially Maine’s winningest strain from Maine’s winningest brand.
