Peach Tree - Doja
Over the last year they’ve been in circulation, the Duke of Erb genetics had been pretty elusive compared other flavors like Biscotti and Z that are Doja menu mainstays. I finally got to try Coffin Candy and Hearse earlier in the year and now this is my first time trying something from Afternoon Pineapple line. This flavor is a cross of Afternoon Pineapple x Gelonade, so the “Tree” in the name is reminiscent of Lemon Tree. When you crack the bag, you’re greeted with mostly the Gelonade crystal light powder on the nose but when you inhale there some earth and cinnamon notes that make it come through more like dehydrated peaches. One thing I’ve given Doja some flack for in the past is arriving as scrungly looking nugs even though they smoke good enough. Peachtree thankfully is gorgeous upon arrival solid sized intact nugs. I suspect this is from Preferred Gardens as they do a lot of the work that goes into Doja Direct and from Duke of Erb, so it’s possible these nugs are glass house light assist, which would account for the size. Regardless of media and under what light rays these were grown, Peach Tree smokes great. It’s super fresh and smooth on inhale and the flavor is super distinctive. This strain is also incredibly potent getting me properly stoned after my second chamber fill and giving me tunnel vision after the third. This has the sort of cerebral potency that you don’t get from Gelonade with even a bit of headbanding but it also has a bit of a crash that’s more common from older energizing cuts. Overall, this is a great flavor that’s very dialed in, and like many of Doja’s other flavors you just can’t get it anywhere else yet. Since the price is market correct, and the appearance has improved, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for something truly “exotic” this holiday season
