Ruby Waves - Skunkfoot Farms

Ruby Waves has been on my radar for a minute since they told me about it at the ADHD Dead event in December. I really enjoyed their Gas Cap 11 when I tried it a couple of years ago on recommendation of JAH Apothecary, so hearing them cross that with Cherry Pie excited me a lot. Right off the bat, the nug reeks of explosive gas, which opens up even more on the blend. Unfortunately, this sample was a bit dry, which also translates to smoothness that was less than prime. Despite this, the flavor was excellent, halfway between the dirty fuel Headband-like Gas Cap and the bussin’ tussin Halls cough drop menthol cherry spice. The effect is fairly refreshing, not buzzy or slumpy but also not pure Chem ease. The potency was also solid with a noticeable head change and an easy drify comedown as well. Overall, Ruby Waves didn’t quite match up with my expectations but it was still really good smoke. I’d love to try this again on a newer and fresher batch from Skunkfoot Farms.
