Gelonade - Sour Wavez
An intersection of two things that have been on my bucket list for a while, getting Sour Wavez hash in the stash and trying Gelonade as rosin, this product is a huge treat before even opening the jar, so major shout out to LeFlame for making that happen for me. The last instance of Gelonade hash on a major brand lineup was back when it was coming from Super Dope Brand as Lemon Popperz, but unfortunately that was the one flavor in the lineup that I missed out on. When you open the yoink-and-twist meme jar, you’re greeted with golden glistening cold cure that reeks of lemon candy. After giving the jar of hefty whip, the luster still remains and the rosin has that sort of marshmallow fluff bounce to it when you poke at it in the jar; all signs of excellent cold cure. The dab is very clean on the banger, notably smooth and easy to hit. The flavor is not quite the super saturated lemon rind lean, and it’s more of an even lemon candy that some might even mistake for Z because of the sweetness and level of saturation. The flavor also has a little bit of that Bacio nuttiness in the lingering note unlike Z which is greasy. The effect is a head to toe stimulus, which is not particularly common for modern genetics, but if you really want the potency you’ll have to take a pretty big dab. Overall, Waves is the type of person who talks a lot of shit but I’m reminded over and over again through samples like this that he backs it up with a high quality product. Gelonade is not a commonly washed strain, and this rosin absolutely does it proud, so it’s a serious consideration among a crazy lineup.
