Kamikaze - John Doe Supply Co.
A few weeks ago I reviewed Kamikaze red but didn’t know that it was one of two cuts that they released rather than a hybrid. On its own merits, purple Kamikaze is incredible smoke and I think it edges out the red which I really liked already. Because I smoked the red version already, I figured I’d test this sample a bit differently, so I dusted off the rip tip, rolled a joint and have to say that this stuff burns great. The ash is a bit peppery, a classic trait of living soil flower, but over a 9/10 gray ash. I mostly don’t smoke joints anymore because they hurt my throat, but purple Kamikaze was smooth down to the tip. Z is always a more saturated flavor but this one was the straight original Z grapefruit rind tamarind candy flavor complexity you really want from a good Z. The effect is also quite potent and I would say marginally but noticeably moreso than the red version. The only knock I have for purple is that the eye is far from the best, and while it’s not quite as scrungly as some of the Doja in bags, the nugs are definitely the “ugly Z” that everyone talks about. Despite that, the nugs reek when you open the jar, and this sample was enchanting to smoke. Overall, this sample was excellent and is a great option for Z lovers. The value is about average but at the time of writing it’s the only Zkittlez on the high end of Terpy’s menu. The smoke on this matches the ticket for sure, and the experience all-around is superb.
