Seabiscuit - Gotti x Deep East Oakland
The last time I smoked Deep East was two or three years ago and I was not impressed due to how unclean the smoke was. So far, everything I’ve smoked from Gotti has been of great quality and super smooth smoke, and this is not exception.

Zushi - DC Source house curation
With all the talk about Zushi as the TenCo marketing phenomenon over the years, I’ve only gotten to try the original Z x Kush Mints that was named Zushi a couple of times. This is bred by Seed Junky, who may be the most prolific breeder of the recent era in terms of the strains he’s created that show up on retail shelves.

Z Face - Archive Portland
I’ve been seeing some small drops of flower from Archive hit menus like Astor Club over the last year. I’ve smoked Z Face a few times in hash but trying it for the first time as flower I see why it’s gotten so much attention

T-Bone - The TenCo.
We’ve been hearing for years that TenCo. had an incredible cut of Headbanger and that they grow it immaculate. This is not one of their living soil batches – it’s grown in coco – but some say that the diesel strains do better in inert media and hydro.

Marshmallow OG - Right Coast Reserve
After my last review of the Assassins OG, I saw Right Caast Reserve also had a Marshmallow OG, which has been a bucket list smoke for a couple of years now. It’s an OG hybrid that almost has the flavor of burnt marshmallow smoke, and it’s one of the parents of Stay Puft, which was a 2022 favorite for me.

Lokiño Watermelon - Dorsia
Dorsia’s store mostly focuses on sour, funk and gas, but he and I have spoken many times about how great it is when you can supply truly elite candy. Lokiños is a hybrid of Watermelon Zkittlez x Runtz, and this stuff has me excited like it’s 2022 again. Zkittlez x Runtz was always something I wanted to try from Seven Leaves, and when I opened this jar it impressed past three years of hype.

Sour Rainbowz - Tuna Melts 710
Maywood made some big waves a couple of years ago with Pomelo Anderson from their house brand Fioré, and they remain putting out products that actually give Cookies a good reputation. Sour Rainbowz is one of the six available from their most recent drop, and after trying it I could definitely see this brand becoming more popular in the Cali METRC scene.

Z-1000 - Tornado Terpz
DC Source absolutely hooked it up hitting me with a 7g jar of the Z-1000, and within seconds of opening the jar it’s easy to see why this was a phenomenon through the back half of last year

Strawberry Punch #2 - Fresh Squeeze x Symbiotic Genetics
This jar also excited me quite a bit when I saw it when it debuted at the end of last year part because of the bisexual lighting motif on the label but also because Symbiotic has created some legendary strains including Mimosa. This seems to be a hybrid with their Purple Punch F2 x Strawguava, and the hybrid makes for a formidable smoke.

Shadow Banned #2 - Shiva’s Stash/YMP
About a month ago, I wrote about Shadow Banned from Shiva’s Stash and mentioned that I got a second pheno of it that I’d be testing later after the recommended cure time. It’s now that time, and we have Shadow Banned #2 on the block.

Rocket Fuel - Dorsia
I never really expected anyone to blow up this specific genetic but after trying these sticky dense nugs, this strain is a perfect fit for the Dorsia menu. It’s a raunchy and savory fuel/gas flavor that’s perfectly in the middle of the BO-to-new-Jordans spectrum of industrial kush.

Grape Z - Checks All Boxes
I’ve been a big advocate for people taking cool flower and branding it so people will remember where they got it, and Checks All Boxes is the epitome of that. Checks All Boxes is a curation brand run by the same group that does K Press, so the same palate chooses which flavors get the branding. Grape Z is exactly the level of flavor saturation I would expect from this brand, and frankly it’s more potent than I would’ve expected too.

C.R.E.A.M. - Dorsia
Fiya Farmer has proliferated the C.R.E.A.M cut much more, even to one of Dorsia’s premier partners in Maine, who’s known for turning west coast hits into east coast favorites.

OM x Mendo Breath #1 - Shiva’s Stash/YMP
This hybrid of the TK x Breath Work, Om Mani, is crossed with the Gage Green Mendo Breath and presents with complex aromas and incredible stature. The Om Mani adds a lot of bulk to the structure which makes the nugs especially dense.

Papusas - Gobshop
I think part of why I love this strain so much is because it reminds me a lot of the Fletcher’s Cove I grew, and the quality reflects that of a careful cultivator. The flavor is savory sweet gas with a lingering halitosis and it’s for sure the kind of flavor that I would want to smoke too much of.

Juicy Cubez - Papermill Cannabis Co
Juicy Cubez has been on my bucket list for a while because Z Cube is a personal favorite, and this flavor did not disappoint. Being a hybrid of Red Piegasm x Z Cube, it has that sickly sweet confectionary note over the greasy Z notes, which made for an expression that smelled a lot like Juicy Fruit gum.

Humboldt Dream - Gobshop
Another flavor I absolutely did not expect to favor, Humboldt Dream by Humboldt Seed Co. is a fruity twist on the classic Blue Dream.

Assassin OG - Right Coast Reserve
Right Coast Reserve is keeping the OG flame alive in Maine with cuts like Ghost OG as well as fostering newer fire in the form of their Marshmallow OG and Sour x Irene OG. Assassin OG is right in the middle being a newer school selection that’s a very sour leaning gas

Banana Runtz - Gobshop
If you’ve been reading for a while, you know that I’ve reviewed a lot of candy, and not a single sample has ever looked or smelled like this. Part of this has to do with the average LCG being grown in massive mega facilities where east nug is handled by nine guys burgers and fries. Most of it has to do with Gobs’ exceptional care for his plants.

Blood Orange - Papermill Cannabis Co
Blood Orange is Cali Orange x Appalachia, and the Appalachia being a Chem hybrid makes a huge difference. The nose is a stinky orange gas, which hits perfectly on the palate and translates to stimulation that’s more like orange juice than coffee in the morning.
