Blood Orange - Papermill Cannabis Co
Back in 2022, I called Papermill’s Lemon Party one of the best energizing strains of the year, and since then he’s been one of the most reliable producers of high quality energizing strains. His selections fall all over the map in terms of lineage, and this is not the first time he’s done high grade Orange. His Orange Berry Fizz blend has stood on the podium and the Candied Oranges that does in the blend is one of my favorite things that come from Hidden Forest’s paddles. One thing I find about a lot of orange flavors is they have a super stimulating onset but the vibe is distracting and hyperactive an results in a pretty hard crash. Blood Orange is Cali Orange x Appalachia, and the Appalachia being a Chem hybrid makes a huge difference. The nose is a stinky orange gas, which hits perfectly on the palate and translates to stimulation that’s more like orange juice than coffee in the morning. It’s still exceptionally potent, but the effect is a much more chill than buzzy. Overall, this is great work from Papermill with a great first impression and beyond. It’s one of the most enjoyable orange flavors I’ve had in a while, and I think a lot of folks who prefer more calming effects will enjoy this as well.
