Papusas - Gobshop
Two of my favorite genetics around are Bubba Kush and Cherry Cookies, so when Gobs sent over a combo of the two, naturally I was enticed. The nugs that arrived were gorgeous glistening golf ball dense room-reekers. The nose really opens up when you give it a deeper manicure and the savory gassy notes enchant the olfactory. The hybrid is Legend/Bubba x Birthday Cake from Cannarado, like other varieties from their stable, you can get the seeds and grow them at home. I think part of why I love this strain so much is because it reminds me a lot of the Fletcher’s Cove I grew, and the quality reflects that of a careful cultivator. The flavor is savory sweet gas with a lingering halitosis and it’s for sure the kind of flavor that I would want to smoke too much of. Unfortunately when I puff on this in excess, the head pressure and sedative effect melts me right into the couch and off to bed when I wake up in the middle of the night. The head pressure reminds me of the Fiya Farmer Thin Mint hybrids but the vibes are much more calming and cozy with muscle relaxation and eye droop as physical sensations. Overall, Papusas is an incredible piece of work from Gobs and is exactly in my terp wheelhouse. It’s got that herbaceous gas that I think a lot of hardcore enthusiasts yearn for while also having excellent eye appeal and killer potency.
