OM x Mendo Breath #1 - Shiva’s Stash/YMP
Last year I got to try a hybrid of Shiva’s Om Mani Padme Hum x Sour Diesel Sunktek cut. That sample was a neat sort of sweet Sour OG type of strain and I enjoyed the effects and distinctive woodsy sour flavor. This hybrid of the TK x Breath Work, Om Mani, is crossed with the Gage Green Mendo Breath and presents with complex aromas and incredible stature. The Om Mani adds a lot of bulk to the structure which makes the nugs especially dense. The nugs are also quite resinous, and said resin hits the palate with sweet earthy cherry tart notes. The flavor is sort of similar to the Sophie’s Breath with the cherry cough drop notes but there’s a bit more confectionary sweetness and industrial gas. The flavor is reasonably saturated and quite distinctive and almost taste like a slice of cherry pie with whipped cream. The effect is decently potent and quite relaxing, but a little bit muddy and not as distinctive despite the lack of raciness that I really appreciate. Overall, OM x Mendo Breath is a cool cross and obviously high quality well-grown flower, but everything that’s really fire about this hybrid is turned up higher in the flagship Aparigraha, which makes me excited to see that back in rotation.
