Humboldt Dream - Gobshop
Another flavor I absolutely did not expect to favor, Humboldt Dream by Humboldt Seed Co. is a fruity twist on the classic Blue Dream. Just like the Banana Runtz I reviewed recently, the appearance is on another level with killer resin development and dense nug structure. The genetics are a cross between Blue Dream x Purple Panty Dropper, and the fluffy nugs reflect the mid school lineage. Purple Panty Dropper is Humboldt Seed Co.’s revival of the classic Alaska Thunderfuck, and while this mostly smells like the Blue Dream we know and love, the flavor has a lot of grape notes. The inhale is the sort of the familiar berry and piney notes, but the exhale is pure concord grape. The wine grape flavors we see more frequently are often very heavy effects even if the effect is vaguely cerebral on some. Humboldt Dream is much more uplifting and functional. The potency is still formidable, but the effect feels more calming and happy than forcefully euphoric and sustained energy flow rather than sparky energy burst. Overall, this sample is way more enjoyable than I would have ever expected, and it’s been great morning smoke for me. PPD is also a pretty hardy genetic with a lot of resistances, an I think this and other hybrids are worth considering this full term season.
