Acapulco Gold - Dungeon Valley Farm

Let’s not beat around the bush here, Dungeon Valley’s Acapulco Gold is not the hue you’d expect from very good rosin, but I want to ask readers to suspend their disbelief to the level of the plot of basically any film where Dolph Lundgren is cast. Immediately when you open the jar, you’re met with stinky lime rinds, allspice and pine in a way that keeps up with today’s bleeding edge hash genetics. Acapulco Gold takes 14 weeks in flower and only yields 1.5% to hash, but the terps are bumping and the effects are quite energizing. Ultimately Dungeon Valley is looking for those more eclectic flavors, even at the expense of yields, and I think the way they’ve acted on that philosophy alone makes the strain worth trying. Beyond that though, the sungrown rosin dabs clean and theres only some hashy/chrolophyl notes if you hit it way too hot. The potency is impressive and comedown is pretty easy as well. Overall, while there’s still a bit to dial in, I think it’s important to reflect on how special it is that a great example of an old school strain like this has made the rotation. I enjoyed the hash a lot and I think it’s worth trying especially if you’re looking for an old school experience or some energizing hash.
