Rainbow Belts 1.0 - Skunkfoot Farms

When I met Skunkfoot Scott at the ADHD Dead event last month, he also had a jar of Rainbow Belts on him with the Pink Lemonade. Again, a strain I didn’t think much of when I saw it the first time, but now it had me quite excited. A lot of hardcore enthusiasts don’t really like Rainbow Belts because they feel it’s a watered down version of Zkittlez, and while I don’t agree, I understand where that idea comes from. While Rainbow Belts 3.0 is much more limey in flavor, the original Rainbow Belts 1.0 leans much more on the fruity notes of the Z as well as the bright gas from the Do Si Dos to make something that in my opinion is comparable to Z but with some extra quality of life updates that make it easier to grow and be less likely to look ugly in the bag. Like everything from Skunkfoot, this flower is absolutely caked in trichomes, and the neon green nugs have a gorgeous multi-peaked structure that you just don’t find from Original Z. While the flavor isn’t quite as saturated as I would want from a Z hybrid, the gas notes land really heavy on the palate and in my opinion the flavor lingers a lot longer. The Do Si Dos notes make this less flowy creative and more euphoric and slumpy, and it’s still super comfortable with no head pressure or crash, but the potency could be more intense. Overall, this is a really good showing of Rainbow Belts from Skunkfoot, but in my opinion there’s still some room to dial before it hits the quality ceiling. Regardless, this selection is great value, and clearly grown with care, so I’m excited to see how future batches of it turn out.
