Sunday Driver - Indoor Plant Kingdom (IPK)
Over the years I’ve pretty aggressively avoided Sunday Driver and after smoking this version from IPK, I definitely think that was a mistake. While being on this grape renaissance, this hybrid of Grape Pie x Fruity Pebbles OG has really struck a chord. Beyond the beefy and resinous nug, you get a sweet wine grape nose with a good bit of fuel behind it. This translates pretty well in the flavor and adds , but when breaking down the nug I noticed it wasn’t as fresh as I would’ve liked and I think that translated to the flavor not being as saturated as I would’ve liked. Despite this, the strain has a pleasant lingering gas and halitosis that still makes me come back for more. Effect wise, it’s reasonably relaxing with a bit of eye droop, not particularly slumpy but also not remarkably refreshing. The potency is solid but again nothing to write home about. Overall, Sunday Driver is a solid offering with a lot to love and good value, but I also don’t think it’s reached the quality ceiling, as I’ve smoked more impressive work from IPK in the past. I’d love to try a more impressive batch of it in the future, but for now it’s easier to recommend the other offerings on Shmu’s menu that are around the same price.
